Qualifying wooden export crates can receive ISPM-15 heat treatment and marking. ISPM-15 addresses qualifying solid wood packaging used in international shipping and helps reduce the risk of transporting insects, fungi, disease, and other harmful organisms.

For qualifying wood packaging, ISPM-15 treatment is described as reaching a minimum wood core temperature of 140 degrees for at least 30 minutes, followed by the required marking. Treatment and marking are available for export crates when applicable.
